‘Mantra Murti’ HH Śrī Bhuvanānandanātha, also known as Krishnamoorthy Shastrigal (in his Poorva-asrama) was a reputed Veda Vidvan and a Shastra exponent . He received his Srividya Purnadiksha along with his wife Smt. Meenaakshi Ammal from Sri Divyaanandhaanaatha of Valangaimaan. He spent 7 years at Shankara Mutt, Kumbakonam and was the “Manthra Guru” to Jagadguru Sri Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Shankaracharya Swamigal (Paramacharya) of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam at the time of his initiation. HH Paramacharya himself honoured him with the title of “Mantra Murti”. Being a tapasvi of the highest order, he held great mystical powers. Many have witnessed the spontaneous miracles performed by him for the benefit of others. His entire life was dedicated to Adhyayana, Upasana and Adhyapana of the Shastras and Srividyamarga. He spent the later part of his life in service of his Guru Sri Divyaanandhanaatha, and took to aapat sannyasa. His Gurubhakti was also reflected in the manner in which he performed the rites laid down by the Srividya Tantras after his Guru attained Sripura sayujya. His great devotion prompted him to raise an imposing Adhishthaana Aalayam in Valangaimaan for his Guru wherein he installed a Shivalinga.

He attained Sripura Sayujya in the year Sarvadhaari, Uttaraayanam, Makaramasam, Shuklapaksha Navami (26-January-1949). Heeding to his will, his  Adhishtaanam also was built adjacent to his Guru in the same temple to enable the peerless preceptor and the devoted disciple an eternal company not only in the hoary Gurumandala but also in the Bhumandala.

Sri Guru

Śrī Vimarśāmbā sameta
Śrī Sahajānandanātha

1993 - Present Day

Shri Avinash Ganesan (Śrī Sahajānandanātha) belongs to the illustrious Valangaiman Guru Parampara (lineage of Śrī Bhuvanānandanātha) of Shri Vidya Upasakas. Born on the Vaikasi Pooratadhi day of the Srimukha year (1993) to Shri. Ganesan & Smt. Geetha, Shri Avinash displayed the qualities of intense faith & devotion towards the Universal Mother from a very young age. He met his Guru, Śrī Satyāmbā, who at once realized the quality of the pearl in front of her. He was initiated into the Shrividya Marga at a young age of 16 and received his Poornadiksha by the time he turned 18. At this stage, his Guru revealed her wish for him to carry on with the task of fulfilling her vision. With her grace, Śrī Sahajānandanātha has achieved insurmountable heights in ShriVidya – steadfast Anushtanams, Purascharanams of several mantras, Maha Yaaga Krama (at the age of 20), Sri Lalitha Sahasranama, Sri Durga Saptashati parayana and Shatparayanas to name a few. He has embarked on a unique sankalpa to visit all the 51 Shakthi Peetams across the country as well as the sacred rivers and perform Shri Vidya Navaavarna Pooja at each of these holy places. He has also envisioned to compile a garland of Sankalpas as an offering to his Gurumatha Śrī Satyāmbā. This encompasses her Aagnyas as well as the various spiritual experiences she yearned to obtain.
An architect and a professor by profession, Śrī Sahajānandanātha has been leading by example to all his Sishyas on the steadfastness and sincerity with which the Anushtanams & Guru’s Upadesa must be carried out amidst tackling the challenges of a modern day profession. His unwavering grit and faith in his Guru and the Goddess Supreme has enabled him to not skip a single day of the Panchaparvas or the days of all the Navarathri Utsavams to perform the Navaavarna Pooja to his Upaasana Devatha. He, along with his Dharmapatni Smt Mahaa Sreenithi, continue to carry on the remarkable Sankalpa to spread Shri Vidhya in its most pristine form to earnest and deserving seekers as per their Guru’s divine command.
